Plave Koch PLC -- a new and different kind of law firm -- is dedicated to putting our clients' needs first and offering realistic and fair fee arrangements.

We are seasoned franchise lawyers, each with almost 20 years of experience in private practice representing franchisors, licensors, and distributors in the US and globally. In the new firm, we bring that large firm experience closer to our clients, working in a professional, flexible small firm environment to help them develop practical solutions to their real-world challenges.

Unlike the vast majority of franchise lawyers, all of us have worked at the most important government agency in franchising -- the Federal Trade Commission. John Tifford ran the FTC Franchise Rule program for the first nine years after the Rule's inception, including enforcement activities and compliance advice. Dave Koch served as attorney-advisor to the Chairman of the FTC. Lee Plave served in the Division of Enforcement of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection. We are the only franchise law firm owned entirely by FTC veterans -- a key advantage in a time of changing FTC franchise regulation.
