Thomas M. Pitegoff is Chair of the Franchise, Distribution and Licensing Committee of the New York State Bar Association's Business Law Section. He formerly served as a member of the Governing Committee of the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising and as an editor of the ABA Franchise Law Journal.

Mr. Pitegoff writes and speaks frequently on franchise law topics. His publications include Franchise Relationship Laws (1989); Choice of Law in Franchise Relationships (1995); and Ways to Avoid Being a Franchise (1992).
