Pressman has been named chairman of South Coastal Counties Legal Services, Inc., a non-profit corporation created to help achieve equal justice for the poor and disadvantaged through community based legal advocacy. March 03, 2010 // Franchising.com // SCCLS is among the largest legal services programs in the State of Massachusetts, funded primarily by the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation. SCCLS provides free civil legal services to low-income and elderly residents handling over 7,000 cases annually benefitting over 15, 000 clients and their families in southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod and the Islands; reaching such locations as Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Nantucket, and Plymouth Counties, and the towns of Avon and Stoughton.
Mr. Pressman is recognized as a leading franchise lawyer with a nationwide practice, specializing in the representation of franchisors. His international franchising practice focuses on representing world leaders in franchising and retail distribution, and numerous hotel, real estate, and consumer services systems.
Mr. Pressman is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Massachusetts, New York, and Pennsylvania, the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First, Second, Third and Eighth Circuits. He earned his J.D. from Temple University School of Law and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, B.A.
